JSC and JDC Scholarship Examination Results 2011 just have published today.
A total of 54,918 sixth-grade students have got primary scholarship on the basis results in the primary school certificate examinations held in November last year.
Of them, 21,998 students —11,019 girls and 10,979 boys — got talent-pool scholarships, primary and mass education minister Afsarul Amin told the media at a briefing at his Secretariat office on Monday.
According to Afsarul, 31,708 students —15,842 girls and 15,866 boys — got general scholarships. In addition, 1,212 students (607 girls and 605 boys) have been given ‘supplementary’ scholarship from other union councils to fulfill the quota, he said.
The minister said each student who got the talent pool would receive a monthly scholarship of Tk 200 and Tk 150 each year. Students who got general and supplementary scholarship will each receive a monthly scholarship of Tk 150 and Tk 150 annually.
Serial numbers of those who won the scholarship are available on the website of the Directorate of Primary Education: www.dpe.gov.bd, www.mopme.gov.bd and http://dpe.teletalk.com.bd).
The primary and Ebtedai terminal examinations were held between Nov 23 and 30 at 6,168 centres across the country.
The results, published on Dec 26 last year, had a pass percentage of 97.26 in primary terminal exams, and 91.28 for the Ebtedai exams.

State minister for primary and mass education Mothahar Hossain, primary and mass education secretary A K M Abdul Awal Majumder and director general of the Directorate of Primary Education Shyamal Kanti Ghosh were also present at the media briefing.
